Mrs. Janice Whaley, a resident at Wesley Manor passed away Thursday, May 29, 2013. She was 73.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the Westgate Church of Christ with Todd Whaley officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2:30 P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2013. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hartford Church of Christ.
Mrs. Whaley was a member of the Hartford Church of Christ. She drove a school bus for Wicksburg High School for almost 30 years and also worked at Mathis Farm Service in Slocomb. She loved people and was loved by others. She never met a stranger but always met a new friend. She was an encouragement to others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Manuel Casey and Era Mae Williams Casey.
Survivors include her daughter, Kacy Green and her husband, Larry of Newton; sons, Todd Whaley and his wife, Tammy of Newton; Fletcher Whaley and his wife, Crystal of Dothan; brother, Curtis Mack Casey of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Curtis Hillman, III, Saylar Green, Terry Julian Whaley, II, (TJ), Asa Whaley, Kingston Whaley, Macguire Connell, Jagger Harshman, ex-husband, Terry Whaley, and close friend, Joel Smith.
