OZARK… Mrs. Jean Donaldson Sharpe, a resident of Ozark, died Monday afternoon, July 27, 2020 in Dale Medical Center. She was 90.


            Graveside services, with military honors,  for Mr. Jesse Sharpe and Mrs. Jean Sharpe will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Reverend Dr. Eric Fuller officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.


            Memorial contributions may be made to the Ozark Baptist Church, 282 S. Union Ave., Ozark, Alabama 36360.


            Mrs. Sharpe, daughter of the late Cary D. Donaldson and Ella Foley Donaldson, was a native of Coffee County, Alabama. She moved to Ozark in 1964 and was an active member of the Ozark Baptist Church. She formerly taught Sunday school and was very active in all church activities. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years on July 19, 2020, Mr. Jesse Sharpe; two sisters, Jimmie Lou Cowen and Eloise Smith Corbitt.


            Surviving relatives include two sons, Rodney Sharpe and Richard Sharpe (Georgia Ann), all of Dothan; two grandchildren, Mason Sharpe (Lauren), and Amelia Sharpe; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Sharpe and Hannah Sharpe.
