   Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Pittman Lisenby, a resident of Ozark, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 90 years old.


   Funeral services for Mrs. Lisenby will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 31, 2023, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Chaplain Bryan Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home in Ozark from 1:00 P.M. until service time.


   Mrs. Lisenby was born February 4, 1933 in Lynn, Massachusetts to the late Eugene Wellington Pittman and Elizabeth Nicholson Pittman. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Jacksonville State University and her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Auburn University in Montgomery. Mrs. Lisenby worked with the Office of Personnel Management at Fort Rucker until her retirement. She was a member of Westview Heights United Methodist Church, Pilot Club of Ozark, Federally Employed Women and Historic Chattahoochee Commission.


   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, John Wesley Lisenby; and two sisters, Gertrude Adams and Jeanette Massey. She is survived by one daughter, Laura Jean Scott of Ozark; one son, Steven Lisenby (Nancy) of Marianna, Florida; and two grandchildren, Shelby Lisenby of San Antonio, Texas and Matthew Lisenby of Marianna, Florida. Several nieces and nephews also survive.


   Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Choice Hospice, 1864 Andrews Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360; or to Westview Heights United Methodist Church, 512 Camilla Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
