Obituary: Mrs. Jean White Crawson
Mrs. Jean White Crawson of Bonifay, FL went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 20, 2022 at her home. She was 77.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Johnny Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Crawson was born October 10, 1944 in Hartford, AL to the late Jack and Katreen Hundley White. Jean was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Union Hill Eastern Stars for over 45 years, a great woman of faith, and a member of Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Church.
In addition to her parents, her daughter, Gina Lynn Crawson Akridge and son-in-law, John Thomas Akridge preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Alvin J. Crawson, Bonifay; three sons: Jimmy Crawson (Nancy), Vernon, FL, Eric Crawson (DeeAnn), Concord, NC and Duane Crawson (Niki), Bonifay, FL; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Martha Noyes (Michael), and Wanda Crawford (Lamar); four brothers: Joel White (Patsy), Ricky White (Martha), Jerry White, and Johnny White (Connie); sister-in-law, Gayle White; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Jean’s caregiver, Mercedes Peterson for the love she provided.
