Mrs. Joyce Ann Sketo Yeomans, age 73 of Midland City passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014.


Born January 5, 1941 in Kinsey to the late Rossie William and Mandi Mae McCord Sketo, Mrs. Yeomans was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was born and raised in Houston County and was employed for 25 years with the northside Wal-Mart until her retirement.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James Yeomans.


Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Ann Holmes of Dothan and Teressa Gail Colburn of Midland City; her son, Teddy Lamar Holmes of Aiken, SC; her sisters, Betty Deal of Enterprise and Martha Spengler of Birmingham; her brothers, Bill Sketo of Dothan, Buck (Tennie) Sketo of Hartford, Bob (Janette) Sketo of Bonifay, and John (Sharon) Sketo of Bonifay; her grandchildren, Amanda Green, Cameron Donnelly, Hali Watson, Alexandra Donnelly, Korey Donnelly, and Makayla Woody; her great-grandchildren, Ryder Faison and Bree Watson.


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, October 22, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Mark Skipper officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.


The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, P. O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL  36302.
