Mrs. Judith Daniels Walker of Samson, Alabama, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, April 15, 2012.  She was 73.


 


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Randy Adams and Rev.  Dr. Nathan Elliott officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.


 


Mrs. Walker was born November 21, 1938, in Samson, Alabama, to the late Zack L. and Pearl Stephens Daniels.  She received her Bachelor Degree from Montevallo and her Masters from the University of Alabama.  She began her teaching career in home economics, became a home extension agent, and then taught elementary school.  She enjoyed music and attending church.  She loved God, her family, and teaching.


 


In addition to her parents, her husband, Ira L. Walker, Jr., preceded her in death.


 


Survivors include a daughter and son-in-daughter, Nan Walker Elliott and Rev. Dr. Nathan Elliott, Cantonment, FL; two granddaughters: Elizabeth Grace Elliott and Hannah Lee Elliott; one sister, Carolyn Daughtry (Bill), Jack, AL; two brothers: Gene Daniels (Ann) and Don Daniels (Jeanette), all of Samson; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
