Mrs. Judy Childs Summerlin-Lolley of Geneva, AL passed away Friday, December 10, 2021. She was 75.


 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Gene Hauser officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m.


 Judy was born in Opp, AL on March 15, 1946 to the late J. W. and Margaret Childs. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Geneva High School, Class of 1964. She worked for her father as a jeweler and watchmaker at Childs Jewelers in Geneva for most of her life. She faithfully attended church throughout her life and enjoyed sharing her love for Jesus with children by teaching Sunday School classes, Children’s Church, and Vacation Bible School. In her later years, she was a member of Trinity Church and attended as often as her health would allow. She was a resident at Wiregrass Nursing Home for the latter part of her life where she also volunteered to teach a Bible study class.


 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John Summerlin.


 Judy is survived by her husband, Doug Lolley of Geneva; three daughters, Kedra Smith (Nathan) of Clayhatchee, AL, Laura Walls (Travis) of Geneva, AL and Julie Martin (David) of Dothan, AL. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren; Jay Harley (Amber), Stephen Jenkins, Joseph Harley (Maranda), Daniel Walls, Justin Martin (Karsen), Nathaniel Walls (Blayde), Zoe Summerlin, Madeline Martin; six great-grandchildren (and one on the way); and two sisters, Cynthia Stevens of Tuscaloosa, AL and Rita Woodham (Eddy) of Opelika, AL; many nieces and nephews, and other extended family and friends.


 The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the Wiregrass Nursing Home administration and staff for their dedication and hard work in caring for her and her husband for the last five years.
