Mrs. June Batchelor Dalton, a resident of Columbus, Georgia and formerly of Ariton died Tuesday morning, November 26, 2024, in Columbus. She was 77 years old.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dalton will be graveside 2:30 P.M. Friday, November 29, 2024, in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark Friday from 1:00 P. M. until 2:00 P. M.
Mrs. Dalton was born June 11, 1947 in the Rocky Head Community of Ariton, Alabama to the late Ovie Elmer Batchelor and Catherine Vonceil Thompson Batchelor. She was a graduate of Ariton High School and worked as Maintenance Director for Chastain Properties Management until her retirement. June enjoyed making jewelry with her husband.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dalton was preceded in death by her brother, J. W. Batchelor and her sister-in-law, Mary Taylor Batchelor.
Surviving relatives include her husband, best friend and true love, Tom H. Dalton, Jr.; two daughters, Sherri Dunnavant and April Dunnavant Diehl; one son, Jonathan Dalton; three grandchildren, William Sams (Kayleigh), Skylar Whittle (Dalton) and Silas Diehl; three great grandchildren, Robert Sams, Thomas Sams and Westley Whittle; her niece, Caren Batchelor Goodson (Terry) and her nephew, Joel Batchelor (Donna); one great niece, Haley Barefoot (Stetson); three great nephews, Brett Goodson, Jacob Batchelor and Zachary Batchelor; one great-great niece, Mary Jo Barefoot.
The family would like to give thanks to ProHealth Hospice and a special thanks to her nurses, Marie Harrison and Tameka Green. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P. O. Box 1170, Dothan, Alabama 36302.
