Mrs. Kathy Jean Bowman, a life-long resident of Pinckard, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, in UAB Medical Center in Birmingham following an extended illness. She was 69 years old.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Pastor Tommy Giddens officiating. Interment will follow in Pinckard Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until service time.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Bowman, Zhean Lively, Miach McNab, Ricky Pugh, Cody Henderson and Jimmy McKnight; honorary pallbearer, James Waters.
Mrs. Bowman was born February 12, 1953 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Gavin Eugene McNab and Sylvia Rymah Benton McNab. She graduated from Dale County High School. Mrs. Bowman worked in retail sales prior to working with Dale Medical Center in Ozark where she retired in 2017. She was a member of Newton First Assembly of God Church and enjoyed painting ceramics and Alabama football. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Mitchell Wynn Bowman; two sons, Mitchell Shaun Bowman (Gina) and Matthew Ryan Bowman; two grandchildren, Zhean Lively and Drew Johnston all of Pinckard.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Attn.; Tribute Department, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
