Mrs. Linda Gail Yates, age 72, of Clayton, AL., passed away Friday, February 28, 2020, in Dothan, Alabama.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 11:00 am at Glover Funeral Home Chapel in Clayton. Rev. Dan Stewart will officiate and burial will follow in Antioch Church Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home of Clayton directing. The family will receive friends 10:00 until 10:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Yates was born on January 5, 1948, the daughter of Roy Champion and Edna Parmer Champion. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roy Thomas Champion.

 Mrs. Yates was a hardworking, feisty, caring woman who loved her family. Her hobbies included, working in her yard, and detailing her family history.

Mrs. Yates is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Russell Yates, Clayton, AL; three sisters, Mary Russell, Franklin, NC, Judy Taylor (Ronnie), Connelly Springs, NC, Jeannette Niglio (Patrick), Stewart, FL; numerous nieces and nephews, and good friend Bill Starkey.
