Obituary:  Mrs. Lois Hatcher


 


Mrs. Lois Hatcher of Hartford passed away Friday, June 9, 2017, at Flowers Hospital.  She was 81. 


Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, June 12, 2017, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Eugene Hatcher and Chaplain Eddie Biss officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery. 


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. 


Mrs. Hatcher was born November 22, 1935, in Dale County to the late Farow and Cornelia Peterson Vinson. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed crocheting. She was a volunteer with the Hartford Rescue Squad for many years. Lois possessed a kind spirit and was dearly loved by her family and friends.  


In addition to her parents, several brothers and sisters and a son-in-law, Richie C. Blankenship, preceded her in death. 


Survivors include her husband, William "Billy" Hatcher, Hartford; one daughter, Roselyn Blankenship, Hartford; four grandchildren: Beth Gilmore (Neal), Frostproof, FL, Cristy Buczko (Keith), Anderson, SC, Delora Hughes (Mark), Tallahassee, FL and Mark Bradshaw, Hartford; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
