OZARK…Mrs. Lois Hill Mobley, a resident of Ozark, departed this earth early Monday morning, May 27, 2024, at her home to be with her loved ones that have gone before and to be with Jesus. She was 97.


            Graveside services will be held at 11:45 A.M. Friday, May 31, 2024, will be held at Greenhill Cemetery in Troy with Pastor Brian Presley officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.


            Mrs. Mobley, daughter of the late BA Hill and Willie Mae Johnson Hill, was a native of Troy. She attended Goshen High School and graduated from Smyth Hughes School in Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Mobley attended Clayton Junior College in Atlanta, Georgia and was retired from the United States Civil Service. She was a devoted Christian serving God in churches in Alabama and Georgia, in all areas, teaching children for over fifty years and was also a Certified Christian Counselor. Mrs. Mobley’s hobbies included walking, line dancing, calligraphy, traveling, and bowling on a regular league until she was 92. Mrs. Mobley was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan in addition to her other hobbies. She enjoyed living in Ozark and being with her many friends.  


        In addition to her parents those who have gone on before her were her husband’s Frank A. Wrye and Billy V. Mobley, daughters Rita Wrye Brown, and Jamie Wrye Morgan (Jimmy), son Randall Hill Wrye (Elizabeth), grandson Joshua Randall Wrye, sister Mary T. Hill, brothers Gus Hill (Joyce), Johnson Hill (Mamie) and Dr. Raymond Hill.


       Survivors include a son in law Jack Brown, Roswell, Georgia; son, Robert W. Mobley (Susan), Biloxi, Mississippi; a special granddaughter Courtney Wrye (Brad) of Jackson, Georgia, sister-in-law Dot Hill, Lakeland, Florida, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends.


        She is forever thankful for Gentiva Hospice and her nurses Maddie and Brett, her caregivers Debbie Hancock, Harriet Hodgekins, Emily Riley, Sarah and Hannah King. Special friends Lisa Boatwright and Kim Sanders.
