Mrs. Lois Jeanette Fulcher Ammons of Geneva, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday March 4, 2016.  She was 82.


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home Chapel with her grandsons, Lee and Kevin Ammons delivering the eulogy.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.  Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.


Mrs. Ammons was born September 19, 1933, in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Franklin F. and Mary Lois Baker Fulcher.  She attended Geneva High School and was a lifelong member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church.  She received her nursing degree from Wallace College and was in the first LPN nursing class that was pinned at the college.  She retired from Wiregrass Medical Center after a 39 year career in nursing.  Her favorite pastime was fishing and working in her flowers.    She enjoyed attending the Geneva Senior Center where she had been a member for a number of years. Mrs. Jeanette was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to everyone.


In addition to her parents, a brother, James Fulcher, and a sister, Margaret Inez Kilpatrick, as well as a niece, Kay Jeanette Kilpatirick, preceded her in death.


Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Willard H. Ammons, Sr.; son, Willard H. Ammons, Jr. (Connie); daughter, Frankie M. Ammons, all of Geneva; two grandchildren: Lee Ammons (fiancé Rebecca) of Auburn and Kevin Ammons (Emily) of Enterprise; four great-grandchildren: Haze and William Ammons, Jake and Kennedy Claire Masic; nephew, Mike Fulcher (Lisa) of Lawrenceville, GA; special friends: Mable Miller, Helen Hughes and Jane Blalock; other extended family and friends.


Pallbearers will be: Lee Ammons, Kevin Ammons, Dennis Huggins, Mike Trant, Ronnie Parker, Benny Speigner, Gabe Boyette, and Gary Grantham.
