Mrs. Loueda Murice Melvin Kennedy, age 58, a resident of Dothan died Tuesday August 28, 2012 at Flowers Hospital following an extended illness.

 

Private family memorial service will be held at a later date.  Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home is in charge of cremation services.

 

Mrs. Kennedy was born on December 7, 1953 in Ft. Myers, Florida the daughter of Minnie Loueda Edmistem Melvin and the late Jerry Melvin.  She had lived here in Dothan for the past seven years, moving from Panama City Beach, Florida.  Mrs. Kennedy was a 1970 graduate of Ft. Myers High School and worked as a Registered Nurse at Flowers Hospital for four years prior to becoming disabled due to her health.

 

Survivors include: Mother, Minnie Melvin, Panama City, Florida; Husband of 41 years, Paul Kennedy, Dothan; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Stuard Donaldson, Dothan; son, Shaun Kennedy, Dothan; brother, Richard Melvin, Detroit, Michigan; sister, Lynn Nichols, Panama City, Florida; two grandchildren.
