Ludie B. Jackson, a resident of Dothan, Alabama peacefully fell asleep in death on Thursday, November 11, 2021. She was 87 years old.


A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 14, 2021, via ZOOM.


Ludie was born February 19, 1934, in Barbour County, but was raised in Dothan, Alabama. Ludie was a dedicated servant of the most God, Jehovah for sixty-six years. She truly loved sharing the bible’s message to whom ever she met. Ludie was a very generous person. She was also a foster parent. She was married for sixty-eight years.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Angus and Edna King Oliver; two sisters, Sue Ford and Linda Jackson.


Survivors include her husband of sixty-eight years, Sammie Lee Jackson, Sr; a daughter, Marguerita Register (Wade); a son, Sammie Lee Jackson, Jr (Dorothy); a grandson, Eric Register (Miriam), a granddaughter, Samantha Jackson; two great grandsons, Brandon Register and Major Farrier; two great granddaughters, Rayvin Nicole Jackson and Mariah Farrier; two brothers, Eddie Oliver and Angus Lamar Oliver, Jr; along with four sisters, Elsie Weems, Evelyn Harris, Deloris Baxter and Connie Oliver.
