Mrs. Madalene Mace Frazier Summerfield, age 95, a resident of Dothan, AL. went to be with her Lord on Saturday April 12, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family.
A private family graveside memorial service will be held on Monday April 21, 2014 at the Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens in Charleston, W.V.
Mrs. Summerfield was born on May 25, 1918 in Pickens, W.V. the daughter of Roy Hamilton Mace and Flossie Hill Mace. She was a Registered Nurse having worked in Hospitals, private duty and was the Coordinator for the Practical Nursing School at Arch Moore Vo. Tech Center in Charleston, W.V. Mrs. Summerfield moved to Dothan from Walton, W.V. in 1989 and she was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Dothan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Richard Frazier, Sr.; husband, Wilbur Gaye Summerfield; step-daughter, Tandra Ingram and a step-son-in-law, Jim Ashworth.
Survivors include: daughters, Joyce Fields (Jerry), South Point, Ohio; Virginia Lowe (Steve), Dothan, AL.; son, Charles Richard Frazier, Jr. (Debra) Dothan; a sister, Lakie Pearl McPherson, Raleigh, N.C.; step-daughter, Cherryl McKown (Charles), Arnoldsburg, W.V.; step-son, Duane Summerfield (Charlene), Hartwell, Ga.; step-daughter, Denise Ashworth, Snellville, Ga. and a step-son-in-law, Jim Ingram, Charleston, W.V.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions be made to the Jerry Spencer Ministries, P.O. Box 6926, Dothan, AL. 36302.
