Mrs. Madgeline Hartzog Eubanks, age 97, a resident of the Pleasant Hill Community in Barbour County, went to be home with the Lord on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Philip Gagliano officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Dothan directing. The family will receive friends following the services. Flowers will be accepted.
Mrs. Eubanks was born on October 5, 1923 in Barbour County (Adams Chapel Community) the daughter of Simon Timothy Hartzog, Sr. and Bannie Eunice Gary Hartzog. She was a retired seamstress of 35 years from West Point Pepperell in Abbeville and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Pitt Eubanks, daughters, Judy Deily Bates (Ken), Sharon Sheffield (Billy Joe), grandchildren, Dr. Larry Deily and Shannon Sheffield, 6 sisters, Jemima McCraney, Mary Otis Baxley, Katrine Tew, Jeanette Carroll, Louise White and Frances Price; 5 brothers, S. T., John Foy, Colon, Robert and Eugene Hartzog.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Billy Joe Sheffield II (Misty) of Dothan, Sabrina Farr Brown of Denton, Tx., great-grandchildren, Gabe Sheffield (Bailey) of Headland, Stone Sheffield of Oxford, Ms., Sara Elizabeth Sheffield of Dothan, Highland Farr, Copeland Farr, Scotland Farr, Southern Farr, and Jordan Farr all of Denton, Tx.
