Marcia Jean Ward was a fancy woman who never settled for anything less than perfection, so in true Marcia style, she ventured on to her glorious home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.
An Enterprise native, Mrs. Ward was born June 28th, 1957, to Peggy and the late William Woods. Although she spent most of her childhood and school years is Leesburg Fl, Marcia returned home to Alabama where she raised her family and worked with the sincere heart of a servant providing care to others in her community through her role as a CNA at both Hartford Nursing Home and Wesley Manor for many years.
Marcia was a fine Christian woman who proudly carried with her many titles which included wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, aunt, warrior and breast cancer survivor. Marcia always had a funny story to share with her dear friends and family, and she cherished her time spent with each of her children and grandchildren. Like any good southern woman, Marcia loved to find a good deal while out shopping the weekend wiregrass area garage sales however, her favorite pass time was studying Gods word. As a good friend once said, she was like a sponge soaking up everything she could.
Never one to be last, Marcia is the first of her siblings to meet our heavenly father and we are sure she is rejoicing now in his presence as she has been reunited once again with her son Chris Daniels, father William Woods, Grandparents Elise and Cecil Crumple, and Father-in-Law Clayton Ward.
Left to cherish her many fond memories and funny stories is her loving husband of 38 years, Gregg Ward, mother Peggy Henderson, daughter Amy Driggers (Matt), son Timothy Ward (Ashley), grandchildren Todd Daniels, Ashley Daniels, Travis Daniels, Heather Daniels, Justin Walker, Kayla Diaz, Cullen Daniels, Makenzie Ethridge, Harper Ward, Madison Driggers, Massee Driggers, several great-grandchildren, sister Penny Farmer (Robert), sister Patty Hall, Brother Greg Woods, special friends Roxanne Pollard and Pat Leonard, several cousins, friends, nieces, and nephews.
Officiating over her services will be Pastor Eddie Littlefield and Pastor Jason Duren. Family will be receiving friends from 10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday March 28 at Harpers Joy Assembly of God Church. Services will follow at 11 a.m. with burial taking place at Harpers Joy Cemetery.
