OZARK…Mrs. Margaret Ann “Marge” Stewart DiFilippo, a resident of Ozark, died late Tuesday morning, July 2, 2024, at her home. She was 94.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 5, 2024, in the Westview Memorial Cemetery Chapel with Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. DiFilippo was born April 3, 1930, in Russellville, Kentucky to the late Russell and Mattie Tapp. Along with her husband, Jim, Mrs. DiFilippo entered the restaurant business managing Pizza on Call locations at Fort Benning, Fort Rucker, and Keesler Air Force Base. In 1968, they opened DiFilippo’s Pizza Pub in Ozark where it continues to operate today.
Mrs. DiFilippo enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, and her desserts. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Jim DiFilippo, daughter, Gale Lavender and her husband, Tommy, a son, Ricky DiFilippo, all of Ozark and a sister, Thelma Sears of Evansville, Indiana.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Sherry DiFilippo, Ozark; son, Dale Nash and wife, Jan, Dothan; daughter-in-law, Becky DiFilippo, Ozark; three grandchildren, Krissy and Brian Atkinson, Dothan, Jason and Megan DiFilippo, Ozark, and Brittany and Travis Godwin of Ariton; five great-grandchildren, Stella and Ruby James DiFilippo, Allie and John Thomas Godwin, and Ella Atkinson; a long-time friend, Susan Beck of Elveata, California.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Michelle Reid and Teretha Fryer and the nurses and staff of Gentiva Hospice including Brett Smith and Maddie Faircloth.
