BETHEL COMMUNITY… Mrs. Marie Morris McDaniel, a resident of the Bethel Community, near Ozark, died early Wednesday morning, January 18, 2023, in Dale Medical Center. She was 94.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 21, 2023, in the Bethel United Methodist Church with Reverend Phil Craddock and Reverend Darin T. Easter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hank & Brittany Walker for their daughter, Lottie, c/o Cayla Coker, 97 Dewey Ivey Road, Ariton, Al 36311.
Mrs. McDaniel, daughter of the late J.D. Morris and Eva Cly Enfinger Morris, was a native of Dale County, near Bertha and has lived in the Bethel Community most of her lifetime. She was retired from White Knight in Ozark as a sewing machine operator. Mrs. McDaniel was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewie C. McDaniel; a sister, Erma German.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Marko Burnette (Michael), Ozark; a sister, Mildred Gulledge (Winfred), Headland; a granddaughter, Cayla Coker (Josh); two great-grandchildren, Tripp Coker and Myles Coker; her adopted grandchildren, Mark Griggs (Tonya) and Ashli Davis (Darryl); half-siblings, Lu Starrett, Gadsden, AL, Doris Dixon (Bob), Dothan, Nell Smith (Gary), Clio and Jimmy Morris (Linda), Enterprise.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Rex McDaniel, Stan McDaniel, Timmy McDaniel, Greg Gulledge, Casey Hulett, and Trey Hulett.
