Mrs. Martha Dobbs Seay of Dothan passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 2:24 am at the age of 96.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, August 12, 2022, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Seale officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 to 10 A.M. Friday, August 12, 2022, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cloverdale United Methodist Church, 102 Rollins Avenue, Dothan, AL 36301.
Martha was born to Euell L. Dobbs, Sr. and Mae Dee Dobbs on April 22, 1926 in Tallassee, AL. She was married to the late John H. Seay, Jr. for 61 years.
She was a member of Cloverdale United Methodist Church where she was active in the Dorcas Sunday School Class and the Mae Dean Dobbs Circle. Martha worked in the banking industry for 33 years and retired from Altus Bank in 1988.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four brothers, Dr. James W. Dobbs, Morris L. Dobbs, Charles Jackson Dobbs and Euell L. Dobbs, Jr.
Survivors are her son John Randall Seay of Dothan, her daughter Connie Seay Walker and husband, Keith B. Walker, Sr. of Virginia, two sisters-in-law, Lucille Dobbs McCoy (Robert) and Kathryn Seay, four grandchildren Christopher Troy Seay and wife, Farras Seay, Keith Walker, Jr., Kevin Walker and Karyn Walker, three great-grandchildren Kylie Faith Seay, Claudia Morgan and Trey Walker, a special family friend Melanie Giddens and several nieces and nephews
