   Mrs. Mary Faye Monk Bludsworth, a resident of Skipperville, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024. She was 82 years old.


   Funeral services for Mrs. Bludsworth will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, June 23, 2024, from Asbury United Methodist Church with Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Saturday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.


   Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Gassett, Mel Monk, Jonathan Tharpe, Jackson Marsh, Mike Mixon and Justin Mixon.


   Mrs. Bludsworth was born September 1, 1941 in the Asbury Community of Dale County, Alabama to the late Melvin Monk and Evelyn Snell Monk. She was a graduate of Carroll High School class of 1959, worked with Walter Hand Motor Company in Ozark and served as Dale County Circuit Clerk for twenty-nine years until her retirement. Mary was a member of Westview United Methodist Church in Ozark. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and singing alto.


   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Murray “Buddy” Bludsworth. She is survived by her twin sister, Martha Gassett (Pete); two brothers, Wayne Monk (Christina) and Mel Monk (Sherry); nephews, Michael Gassett (Julia) and Eddie Monk (Diane); nieces, Dianne Tharpe (John) and Mara Monk; special great nephew and niece, Jonathan Tharpe (Danika) and Amber Allen; and special caregiver, Sheila Gassett. Numerous other loving family members also survive.


   Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Asbury Cemetery Fund, 2536 County Road 33, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
