Obituary: Mrs. Mary Louise Jenkins
Mrs. Mary Louise Jenkins of Slocomb passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at Hartford Health Care. She was 75.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Free and Rev. Earl Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow in the Rehobeth Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
Mrs. Jenkins was born December 25, 1938 in Geneva County to the late James and Evelyn Pippens Watford. She was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents her husband, Orbin Gerald Jenkins and one sister, Robbie Battles preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Reba Turner (Billy), Phenix City, two sons: Durwood Jenkins (Cathy), Abbeville and Curtis Jenkins (Lisa), Slocomb; six grandchildren: Christina Battles (Brad), Meri Lyn Jenkins (Jamie) Jessica, Timothy, Taylor and Bailey Jenkins; four great-grandchildren: Caty, Lizzy, Mary and Anny Battles; four sisters: Doris Curenton (Jack), Columbus, GA, Geraldine Holland, Salem, Leona Allen (Ken), Allen, TX and Dorothy Livingston (Mickey), Salem; two brothers: Wallace Watford (Pat) and Lamar Watford (Carolyn) all of Phenix City; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
