Mrs. Maurice Frances Brandenburg, a resident of Blakely, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Daphne, Alabama. She was 93.
Born September 12, 1924 in Mt. Airy, NC to the late George Winston and Pearlie Dianne Lowe Creed, Maurice enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was an avid reader who loved babies. She loved spending time with her family, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbia.
In addition to her parents, Maurice was preceded in death by her husband Donald Oscar Brandenburg; her daughter, Beverly Beals; her son, Ralph Edward Brandenburg; her grandchildren, Terry Brandenburg and Michael Coley; and six of her brothers and sisters.
Maurice is survived by her daughters, Sue B. Coley, Dianne B. Goff (Micky), Betty Holden (David), and Sandy Duke (Tony); her sisters, Annette Eller and Virginia McKnight; her brothers, Ben Creed (Carlene), Bud Creed (Catherine), and Alfred Creed; her grandchildren, Donna Sallee, Ricky Reneman, Vance Reneman, Gennell Morgan, Tammy Heathcoe, Brandie Stanley, Alison Holden, Donald Goff, Mitch Goff, Adam Goff, Winston Lee, and Nicholas Duke; 27 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; special friends, the Tommy and Roberta Ryan family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Vann Cooley officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM, prior to the service.
The family will be receiving flowers or contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
