HEADLAND…Mrs. Minnie Ann Davis Champion, a resident of the Pleasant Plains Community, between Headland and Columbia (formerly of Skipperville), died early Tuesday morning at her home. She was 71.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, March 4, 2023, in Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, near Ariton. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Champion, daughter of the late Jewess Cornelius Davis and Thelma Therease Miller Davis, was a native of Dale County. She was retired from Twitchell in Dothan after over thirty years of employment. Mrs. Champion enjoyed sewing quilts, fishing, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Davis.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Amanda S. Johnson (Jeremy), Headland; two brothers, Harold Davis(Jean), Ozark and Kenneth Davis (Barbara), Midland City; several nieces and nephews; her feline companion, Jack.
