Mrs. Nellie Faye Lee, age 80, of Dothan, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
Born December 2, 1941 in Samson, Alabama to the late Robert Cook and Donnie Simmons Cook, Nellie was a member of the Pentecostals of Dothan. Nellie was well known for her green thumb, growing beautiful and abundant flowers. She was also known in the community for her love of cooking, especially her pound cakes. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing. She loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Monroe Lee; her son-in-law, Paul Miller; and her brother, Frank Cook.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Nyman (Bryan), Wendy Ulry (Shayne), Regina Miller, and Ellen Foster (Don); her grandchildren, Cliff Nyman, Ashton Foster Sellers (Preston), John Paul Miller (Brittany), Andrea Foster, Landon Miller, Caitlyn Ulry, and David Anthony “Bubby” Ulry (Sarah Butler); her great-grandchildren, Jacelyn Miller, Kade Sellers, Layla Stanley, Brayden Stanley, and William Jensen Crawford; her brother, John “Jerome” Cook; numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Bishop Joe Patterson, Reverend Phillip Harrelson, and Stephen Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Taylor Assembly of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM, Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the funeral home.
