Obituary: Mrs. Nellie Frances Culpepper


 


 


Mrs. Nellie Frances Culpepper of Wicksburg passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Flowers Hospital.  She was 74. 


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Wicksburg Assembly of God Church with Rev. Tim Simmons officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 


The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. 


Mrs. Culpepper was born October 14, 1949, in Crenshaw County to the late James and Alice Eiland McVay. Frances was a woman of faith who possessed a kind and caring spirit. She was a loving wife and mother and was devoted to her grandsons Drake and Josh.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.  


In addition to her parents, two sisters: Mary Alice Brown, and Judy Beatrice Welch all precede her death. 


Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, William Earl Culpepper, Sr.; one son, William Earl “Bill” Culpepper II (Aleana); two grandsons: Drake Austin Culpepper, and Joshua Ryan Culpepper; one brother, George McVay (Suzy); niece, Kimberly A. Christy (Brennan); other extended family and friends.
