Mrs. Nettie Thomley Seay of Hartford passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Henry County Nursing Home.  She was 88.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in Goodwater Free Will Baptist Church with Chaplain Joseph L. Haddan officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. Mrs. Seay will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. 

Mrs. Seay was born on July 18, 1923 in Houston County, AL to the late Allen Oliver and Sallie Lue Lee Thomley.  

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Harvey Seay; one sister:  Ouyeda Thomley Draughon; four brothers:  Aubie Thomley, Clyde Thomley, Dolphas Thomley and H. B. Thomley.

urvivors include her two sons:  Ernie T. Seay and wife Susan Meredith Seay of Wicksburg, Thomas H. Seay, Jr. and wife, Sharon Jordan Seay of Athens; two daughters:  Janice Seay Moultrie and husband, Roy A. Moultrie, of Huntsville, Cathy Seay Chitwood of Dothan; three grandsons:  Brian Seay, Sean Moultrie, and Nicholas Chitwood; four granddaughters:  Amy Seay, Carmen Spence, Kristin Chitwood, and Alyssa Chitwood; six great grandchildren:  Brianna Seay, Emily Seay, Michael Henderson, Brendan Spence, Tristan Spence, and Camden Moultrie; one brother:  Shelby Thomley of Dothan; one sister:  Juanita Courtney of Wicksburg; several nieces and nephews.
