Obituary: Mrs. Norma Jean Smith Long


 


Mrs. Norma Jean Smith Long of Fadette passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Southeast Health.  She was 81. 


Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Church with Rev. Johnny Strickland and Rev. Eddie Biss officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 


Mrs. Long was born June 9, 1937 in Geneva County to the late Lexie K. and Annie Lou Miller Smith. Norma Jean was a loving wife, adoring mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. 


In addition to her parents, her husband, Curtis Long; grandson, Jeremiah Long; siblings, Mary Kathleen Bass and R.J. Smith all preceded her in death. 


Survivors include her children: Leigh Ann Cochran (Charles), and Curtis Michael Long (Wanda); grandchildren: Michelle Long (Brandy) David Long (Joanna), Joseph Long (Josh), and Madalyn Cochren; great grandchildren:  Willow, Journey, Malachi, Noah, Preston, Avery, and Kyler; nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
