Mrs. Pat E. Sellers, Registered Nurse, of Wicksburg, Alabama went home to be with Jesus, Friday, December 30, 2011 at Flowers Hospital, Dothan, Alabama. Pat practiced healthcare in its many facets for over forty-three years.
Celebration of life services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Wicksburg Assembly of God Church where Pat was a member. Pat’s homegoing tribute will be conducted by Pastor, Reverend Tim Simmons, and nephews, Reverend Michael Gibson and Reverend Kevin Hill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Houston County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society of Dothan, Alabama.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
Pat was born July 22, 1946 in Brunswick, Georgia to Mr. Albert Sidney and Mrs. Louise Brown Evans. Pat was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Albert Sidney Evans of Brunswick, Georgia, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Talmadge (Gladys) Sellers of Wicksburg, Alabama.
Survivors include her husband, Gary E. Sellers of Wicksburg; two children: Abby and Angus Sellers (The A-Team) of Wicksburg; her mother: Louise Brown Evans of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her sister: Helen and husband, Reverend Henry Maxey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; in-laws: James Sellers, Wicksburg, Alabama, Don and Linda Sellers, Wicksburg, Alabama, Joyce and Steve Smith, Hartford, Alabama, Sandra Gerleman, Mobile, Alabama.
Pat’s love for Jesus, family and friends will last us a lifetime.
Serving as active pallbearers will be James Sellers, Don Sellers, Tal Sellers, Steve Smith, Frank Welk and Juston Carpenter.
Pat’s family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to Dr. Russell Bedsole, her co-workers and the many healthcare professionals at Flowers Hospital, whose dedication and care will be remembered always.
The family also wishes to thank Mr. Terry Sorrells, Proprietor of Sorrells Funeral Home, for his many acts of kindness.
