 Mrs. Patricia Ann Daniels Hughes, a native of Ariton, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022, at her home at the age of 80.



Funeral services for Mrs. Hughes will be graveside 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 10, 2022, in Mount Olive Cemetery with Reverend Dave Walsh and her grandson, Hunter Hughes, officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  Serving as pallbearers will be Hunter Hughes, Cody Hughes, Heath Hughes, Cody Raymond, Chance Johnson and Zach Sexton.


Mrs. Hughes was born on August 1, 1941 to the late Love Daniels and Corrie Graves Daniels. She was a member of Ariton Baptist Church. She loved gardening and reading especially reading her Bible. She was involved in jail ministry for many years alongside her husband and she was an avid prayer warrior for her friends and family.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Don Hughes; an infant son; brothers, Brandon Daniels and Rex Daniels; sisters, Quida Mae Stricklin and Nanette Day; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Odie and Mattie Hughes; daughter-in-law, Dina Hughes.


She is survived by her three sons, Victor Hughes (Pam), Ken Hughes (Debbie), and Brian Hughes (Pam), all of Ariton; five grandchildren, Hunter Hughes (Kirsten), Cody Hughes, Kristen Raymond (Cody), Heath Hughes (Hayden), and Hannah Hughes; four great-grandchildren, Hudson Hughes and Shepherd Hughes, Colton Raymond, and Millie Hughes; and a sister, Sybil Swindall.


Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions can be made to Ariton Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 27, Ariton, Alabama 36311.
