Patricia Jean King, age 75, died peacefully on November 3rd, 2018 in Dothan, Alabama. Patricia was born February 17, 1943 in Canton, Ohio. She was the daughter of Francis and Jean Dysert.
Patricia thoroughly enjoyed her life through painting, crafts, animals, family and children. Her artistic ability won her 1st prize at the National Peanut Festival for her ceramic painted Lighthouse. Her adventurous personality led her to the 139th Kentucky Derby and traveling through Europe. And there was nothing she loved more than scratching off a $20 winner.
In 1959, Patricia married the love of her life, Larry King. In addition to raising their three children, her career was spent caring for children at KinderCare, Evergreen and Denton Road Child Care.
Patricia is forever remembered by her husband of 59 years, Larry King and their children, Sandra Jones (Mark Chaney), Rick King and Robin Smith. She will also be fondly remembered by her 9 grandchildren Megan Overby, Ryan Jones, Jordan King, Devon King, Morgan King, Gabrielle Smith, Gavin Smith, Brittany Chaney, Zac Chaney and her 5 great grandchildren. In addition, Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her brother John Fuzi and her best friend, since kindergarten, Dawn Walter. There are multiple other family members and friends who will love and miss her dearly.
There will be a Celebration of Pat’s Life on November 6th from 1:00-3:00pm, at their home, 1902 Saddlewood Trail. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to the Autism Society of Florida or the Tennessee Hemophilia & Bleeding Disorders Foundation.
