It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia "Pat" Ann Johnson, aged 80, on March 9, 2023. Pat was born on December 12, 1942, in Medina, NY, to John S. Kozloski and Agatha P. Kozloski (nee Celmer), both of whom preceded her in death.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, at 10:30 A.M., at Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church of the Nativity, 205 Holly Lane, Dothan, AL, 36301, with the designation for The Good News Shop, a community outreach thrift store that Pat was honored to support.

After graduating from Medina High School in 1960, Pat moved to Southwest Florida with her parents when they retired. Throughout her life, Pat held various jobs, including school bus driver, crossing guard, security guard, and her favorite job of driving big rig trucks. In the 1980s, Pat moved to Dothan, where she became a long-time resident and a member of the Church of the Nativity.

In her retirement, Pat enjoyed playing dominos, drinking Pepsi, eating Snickers candy bars, and watching television. She cherished the company of the staff and residents at Graceville Health Center, where she was elected vice president by the other residents.

Pat is survived by her older sister, Connie Wideman of Holly, Michigan; younger brother, Raymond Kozloski, and his wife, JoAnne, of North Syracuse, NY; and son, John Johnson, and his wife, Holly, of Whately, MA. She was a grandmother to Lena Johnson, Grace Johnson, and Georgia Johnson. Pat was also an aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, and great aunt to their children.

Pat is also survived by her close friend, Jean Inscho of Dothan, AL, who was instrumental in Pat’s care later in life. Pat’s family would also like to express their gratitude to The Graceville Health Center and its staff for their compassionate care and treatment while she was a resident there.

Pat will be missed by her family and friends, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.
