Patricia Ann Garwick Flowers “Pat”, a resident of Dothan died Thursday, September 2, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness. She was 73.
Graveside services will be held 1 PM Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Dothan City cemetery with her brother, John Garwick officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until Noon at the funeral home prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
Pat was born April 1, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late George W. and Betty Miller Garwick. She lived the early years of her life in Erie, Pennsylvania and later moved to Birmingham, Alabama. Pat was a graduate of Shades Valley High School, earned her BA from Birmingham Southern and later a Masters in Education from Jacksonville University. She and John moved to Dothan in 1979 where she lived the remainder of her life. Pat was an avid tennis player and an advocate of Junior tennis and tennis in general, she volunteered her time with the United States Tennis Association and the Alabama Tennis Association.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Kyle Garwick.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, John Flowers; daughter and her husband, Kristen and Charles Crowder; grandchildren, Mason, Riley and Brooklyn; brothers, Bill and Ann Garwick, John and Cynthia Garwick; sister, Debbie Collins and a sister-in-law, Ila Flowers Lewis; several nieces and nephews.
