   Mrs. Patricia Sue "Pat" Pierce Broome, a resident of the Asbury Community in Dale County, died Saturday afternoon September 24, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was 67 years old.


   A memorial service for Mrs. Broome will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 29, 2022, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Chaplain Adam Mulliner officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.


   Pat was born January 2, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Mable Bracewell and John Pierce. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, Nana and friend. Pat enjoyed dancing, taking trips in the “big” truck with her husband, watching the mud races with her children and grandchildren, and spending time with friends.


   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Knoebel; one brother, Roy Howell; and honorary grandson, Chandler Reynolds.


   She is survived by her husband, Dennis Broome of Ozark; three daughters, Marie Rutherford (Quinton) of Ashford, Rene Tomlin (Josh) of Ozark, Shannon Oglesby (Heath) of Skipperville; one sister, Marie Coach of Daleville; sister-in-law, Lynn Turner of Midland City; brother-in-law, Gary Broome (Darla) of Natchez, LA; six grandchildren, Harley Westrick (Breanna), Austin Westrick (Natalie), Hunter Oglesby, Jake Oglesby (Carly), Sommer Tomlin, Hunter Tomlin; two great grandchildren, Cohen Reynolds and Thea Westrick; a very special niece, Kenya Engmann, along with several more nieces and nephews.


   The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Community Hospice and ask that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 368 James Street, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
