Mrs. Pauline Peavy Conner, a resident of the Asbury Community of Dale County, died Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 101 years old.
Funeral services for Mrs. Conner will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 16, 2024, from Asbury United Methodist Church with Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
Serving as pallbearers will be Darrin Willoughby, Kevin Willoughby, Bradley Pynes, Don McCall, Tim Riley and Ronnie Baldwin.
Mrs. Conner was born December 27, 1922 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Charlie Hampton Peavy and Ida Belle Sanders Peavy. She was a faithful member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She loved to sew, quilt, cook and work in the yard planting flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Clifton Hugh Conner; her son, Johnny Ray Senn; son-in-law, Victor Stafford; and four brothers, Jim Louis Peavy, L. J. Peavy ,J. W. Peavy and A. B. Peavy.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie and Glenn Johnson of Ozark; Peggy Stafford of Ariton and daughter-in-law, Becky Senn. Numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to express their thanks to a special caregiver, Sandra Simmons and to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center for the loving care of Mrs. Conner. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Asbury United Methodist Church Kitchen Fund, 2536 County Road 33, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
