Obituary: Mrs. Peggy McKee Sirmons

 

 

Mrs. Peggy McKee Sirmons of Waycross, GA, formally of Ozark, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2013.  She was 62. 

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday August 12, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Harrison Steege officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 until service time. 

Peggy was born on September 30, 1950 in Henry County to the late Johnny Willie McKee and Barbara Ruth Richardson McKee Beck. Ever the compassionate and loving soul, Peggy worked at St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Montgomery caring for special needs children for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister and will be greatly missed. 

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Raymond Sirmons, Waycross, GA, three daughters: Vesta Kopp (Rick), Manor, GA, Starla Sirmons Raiborn and Selina Simmons (Mark Anderson), both of Panama City Beach, FL; mother, Barbara Ruth Beck (Cecil), Echo; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters: Sue McKee Kelley (Donald), Headland and Faith Franklin (Jimmy), DeFuniak Springs, FL; five brothers: Johnny McKee (Mary), Clarksville, TN, Harvey McKee (Sissy), Warrenton, NC, David McKee (Margaret), Billy McKee, both of Echo and Mitchel McKee (Annie), Ozark; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
