   Mrs. Robbie Lois Carroll Willis, a life-long resident of Ozark, died Tuesday afternoon, January 23, 2024, in Dale Medical Center. She was 101 years old.


   Funeral services for Mrs. Willis will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 26, 2024, from Chalkhead Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Woodham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   The family will receive friends in the church Friday from 10:00 A.M. until service time.


   Mrs. Willis was born August 21, 1922 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Edward Carroll and Lena Belle Powers Carroll. She worked at Fort Rucker with the laundry service and later as a seamstress with Phillips Van Heusen until her retirement. She was a life-long member of Chalkhead Baptist Church. Mrs. Robbie enjoyed word puzzles and going on trips with the senior citizens to Biloxi. She attended every funeral she could with her best friend Belle Shehane and they visited the old people at the nursing homes twice a day. She adored her children and a special granddaughter, Kim Byrd.


   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 47 years, John Thomas Willis; infant daughter, Yvonne Willis; two sisters, Ruth Stubbs and Eva Myrtle Childree; and two brothers, Junior Carroll and Sherman Carroll.


   Mrs. Willis is survived by two daughters, Nina Cordell (Bobby) of Ewell and Paula Annette of Ozark; and a special granddaughter, Kim Byrd (Jeff) of Ewell. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 495 County Road 35, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
