Mrs. Rosemarie Long of Westville, Florida (New Hope Community) went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 03, 2013.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, in the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Hatcher officiating. Mrs. Long will be placed into the church one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, January 6, from 4 until 6 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon’s Ministry or New Hope Baptist Church.
Mrs. Long was born May 29, 1929, in West Virginia to the late Johnny and Antoinette Falcone Stermole. Until her health began to fail, she was a very active and devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a charter member of the “Morning Glories” women’s ministry. She loved her Lord and Savior and enjoyed singing His praises. She was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother and with her sweet disposition she won the hearts of every one who knew her and most recently her caregivers.
In addition to her parents her husband George Edgar Long preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons: John Long, Coral Springs, FL and Eddie Long (Connie), Tamarac, FL; four daughters: Maria Padrick (David), Davenport, FL, Dale Lindsey (Joe), Westville, FL, Sandra Beltrani (John), Parkland, FL, Georgia Long (Ivan Howe), West Palm Beach, FL; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; other extended family and friends.
