Mrs. Roses O’Leary Stephens, age 83, a resident of Dothan (formally of Ozark) died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Flowers Hospital following a brief illness.
A Family Graveside Memorial service will be held at a later date at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the home of Susan & Doug Creel, 103 N. Englewood Ave., Dothan, AL.
Mrs. Stephens was born on May 29, 1931 in Washington, D.C. the daughter of Charles & Mae O’Leary. She was retired after 25 years as a teacher with Ozark City Schools, teaching at D.A. Middle School and Carroll High School. Mrs. Stephens was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church in Ozark.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Stephens; and a sister, Mary Baldauf.
Survivors include: daughter, Susan Creel (Doug), Dothan; three sons, Robert Alex Stephens (Barbara), Peachtree City, GA; Mark David Stephens, Fayetteville, GA; William Harrison Stephens (Allyson), Pace, FL; and 12 grandchildren.
