Rosie B Gainer, 82, of Cottondale, FL, died Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center with her loving family at her bedside.

 

Graveside memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March18, 2015, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Cottondale, FL with Reverend Michael Jones and Reverend Thomas Forward officiating and Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Dothan, AL directing.

 

There will not be a formal Re-pass, but the family will receive friends immediately following the service in the cemetery.

 

Born in Jackson County, FL, Rosie was a daughter of the late Jake T and Ethel Jones Allen. She was Homemaker and attended Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willie Gainer; a son, David Gainer; a brother, Jake T. Allen, JR; a sister, Inez Allen; two sisters-in-law, Lillie Rea Allen and Iris Allen.

 

Surviving are four sons, Carl L. Gainer, Granada Hills, CA, Marvin Joe Gainer, Jacksonville, FL, Steve Allen Gainer, Ashford, AL, and Larry D. Gainer, Norwalk, CA; seven daughters, Helen L. Brooks, Atascadero, CA, Nancy Gainer and Marilyn Gainer Spires both of Jacksonville, FL, Judy Reed, Grand Ridge, FL, Rosemary Spires, Jacksonville, FL, Wanda Ward, Dothan, AL and Cheryl Brown, Sneads, FL; a brother, Rufus Allen, Augusta, GA; thirty grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
