OZARK…Mrs. Ruby C. Rogers Peters Phillips, a resident of Ozark, died Saturday evening, February 26, 2022, in Enterprise Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was 83.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 2, 2022, in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Whitt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1124 County Road 11, Ozark, AL 36360.
Mrs. Phillips, daughter of the late David Pruitt Rogers and Elizabeth Opal Kirkland Rogers, was a native of Ozark. She was formerly employed with White Knight and Van Heusen in Ozark as a seamstress. Mrs. Phillips was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren, and most of all cooking. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by an infant son, a sister, Olivia Opal Lewis, two brothers, Jimmy Rogers and Charles Clayton Rogers.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Robert D. Phillips, Ozark; a daughter, Cynthia Marie Peters Holzer (Jay), Enterprise; two sons, Anthony Keith Peters (Vida), Ozark and Robert Douglas Phillips, II (Tiffanie), Talladega, AL; four sisters, Faye Seaman, Merle Holder, both of Ozark, Reba Potts (Keith), Cincinnati, OH, and Beverly Rogers, Ozark; four brothers, Billy Pruitt Rogers, Mabson Community, Eldridge Rogers, Dothan, David Rogers (Barbara) Mobile, and Jackie Rogers (Bridgett), Troy; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Anthony Peters, Ethan Swain, Robbie Phillips, Kaleb Lesinszki, Kevin Lesinszki, Tyler Mitchell, and Keenan Phillips.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Enterprise Health & Rehabilitation Center for their loving care and kindness shown to Mrs. Phillips and her family.
