Mrs. Ruby Kate Baker Faircloth, age 80, of Louisville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, July 21, 2019, surrounded by her family. She fought a good fight and kept the faith.
Mrs. Faircloth's Home Going will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Louisville Assembly of God. The family will receive friends at Keahey Funeral Home in Clio from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday. and at the church one hour prior to services. Rev. Joan Sexton and Rev. Don Highland will officiate. Interment will follow in the Louisville Assembly of God Church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Helms, Brian Faircloth, Joshua Watson, Patrick Stephens, Ricky Burnham, Mike Hurst, David Lambert, and Sam Baker.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dannie (Sandy Tennant) Faircloth of Willard, Ohio; Douglas (Tammy) Faircloth of Louisville; Kathy (Douglas) Helms of Louisville; grandchildren, Amber Miller, Danielle Faircloth, Kayla Helms, Kasey Helms (Patrick) Stephens, Kyle Helms, Brian Faircloth and Andrea Faircloth (Joshua) Watson; great-grandchildren, Brian Andrew Faircloth, Benjamin Hunter Faircloth, Alexandrea (Allie) Katelynn Watson, Jonah Earl Watson, Easton Andrew Stephens, Granger Thomas Stephens, Julius Xavier Luster, Naomi Rose Tate; siblings, Delma Hurst of Phenix City, Al; Minnie (Haywood) Helms of Louisville; Vivian (Jesse) Lambert of Daleville; sisters-in-law, Luellen Baker, Janis Baker, and Ruth Faircloth and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to her caregivers, Judy Kelly Smith and Missy Lindsey and special friend and nurse, Jody Knight.
Mrs. Faircloth was preceded in death by her parents, Lamar Baker and Lillie Gladys Helms Baker and her loving husband of 56 years, Rev. Andrew Boyd Faircloth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl Baker, Rev. Spurgeon (Barbara) Baker, Dean Baker, and Bobby (Mary) Baker and brother-in-law, Louie Hurst.
Mrs. Faircloth retired from the Barbour County Board of Education after driving a bus for 25 years, during that time she also worked 25 years at the Dixie Dandy in Louisville. A long time, very active member of the Louisville Assembly of God Church, she dearly loved being in the worship services. She loved spending time with family and friends, watching hummingbirds and flower gardening. She served her Lord and Savior in every way and will be greatly missed.
