Mrs. Ruby Lee White, of Dothan, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at Washington County Health and Rehab in Chipley. She was 96.
Born September 11, 1919 in Houston County to the late Walter and Etta Hall Adams, Mrs. White was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers and loved to sew, quilt, and crochet.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob White; her sister, Nadine Watson; and her brothers, Crawford Adams, Odell Adams and half brother Junior (Hoppy) Adams.
Survivors include her son, Stanley White; her sister, Mildred “Pete” Anderson; her half-sisters, Ann Thorne, Eloise Baker, and Freddie Carpenter; her sister-in-law, Frances “Bill” Adams; her half-brother, Randall Adams; her grandchildren, Sabrina White, Jonathan (Amanda) White, and William (Patricia) White; her great-grandchildren, Hannah Marie White, Millie Marie White, Andrew Leroy White, and Gracelynn Annabella White; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Bobby Adams, Tracy Adams, Jimmy Anderson, Tim Anderson, Charles Adams, and Ronnie Adams.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Martha Sunday School Class of Cloverdale Baptist Church.
The family will be accepting flowers.
