Mrs. Sadie Fulford Shelley, age 82, of Ashford, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022.

Born August 5, 1940 in Alabama to the late Georgie Buck Fulford and Beatrice Lamb Fulford, Sadie loved children, babysitting when she got the chance. She also enjoyed camping at the lake, decorating and cooking.

In addition to her parents, Sadie is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bobby Shelley and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim Howell (Allen); her sons, Donnie Shelley and Greg Shelley; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her brother, James Truman Fulford; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend John Howell and Reverend Don Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 PM until 2 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the funeral home.
