Mrs. Sandra Lee “Sandy” Bynon Allen, 77, of Dallas, Texas and formerly of the Thomas Mill Creek Community of Henry County, died in Baylor Medical Hospital in Dallas, Texas on December 27, 2018.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 5, 2019, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Brandon Turner officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday evening, January 4, 2019, from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P.M. and also one hour prior to service time on Saturday.
Mrs. Allen was born May 14, 1941, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late George Bynon and Inez Margaret Ferguson Bynon. She attended high school in Birmingham, Alabama and was a graduate of Howard University Birmingham. Sandy was an accountant before retiring to Lake Eufaula in 1999. Sandy loved to read and cook. Mrs. Allen was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Albert Franklin “Frank” Allen. She is survived by her son, Chris and daughter-in-law Dana Allen of Washington D.C.; her daughter, Margaret and son-in-law Izzy Sanchez of Dallas, Texas; her sister, George-Ann and her husband James Fuller of Prattville; and sister-in-law Alice Faye and her husband Jack Mizell of Montgomery.
