   Mrs. Sara Evans Woodard Overstreet, a resident of Ozark, died Sunday, April 17, 2022, in Dale Medical Center. She was 85 years old.


   Funeral services for Mrs. Woodard will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Floyd Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Union Presbyterian Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark, Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.


   Mrs. Overstreet was born June 14, 1936, in Barbour County, Alabama, to the late Emmett Evans and Velar Wilkerson Evans. She was a member of Stonebridge Church of God in Ozark and worked with Phillip Van Heusen for nineteen years. Mrs. Overstreet loved to cook, quilt, play bingo and go fishing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Elisha Woodard; one daughter; Ernestine Woodard; three sisters, Etha B. Doster, Joyce Wright and Shirley Hyatt; and four brothers; Earl Evans, Gerald Evans, Doug Evans and Melvin Evans.


   She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Joseph F. Overstreet of Ozark; two daughters, Sheila Woodard and Evelyn Sharp (Howard) all of Ozark; two sons, Randall Woodard (Debbie) of Ozark and Edward Woodard (Myra) of Newton; two sisters, Jeanette Baker of Ariton and Kay Robertson of Clio. Eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Union Presbyterian Cemetery Fund, C/O Presbytery of South Alabama, P. O. Box 2157, Daphne, Alabama 36526.
