Obituary: Mrs. Sara Herring Daniels

 

 

Mrs. Sara Herring Daniels passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at Westside Terrace. She was 87.

 Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, in the Newton City Cemetery with Rev. Royce Morrow officiating and with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.

 In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Rd. Dothan, AL 36303 or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8^th Ave. 7^th Floor, New York, New York 10001.

 Mrs. Daniels was born December 5, 1925 in Dale County to the late Leamon and Willie Martin Herring. 

In addition to her parent’s one son, Tommy Thomley and three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. 

Survivors include three daughters: Janice Fondren (Max), Hartford, Gelane Bolick, Dothan and June Moore (Joe), Dothan; two sisters: Margaret “Dot” Brannon (Robert), and Laurada Harris, both of Ozark; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
