Sarah Elizabeth Jones left us to be with the Lord on Monday, October 28, 2024. Sarah was born September 2, 1948 at Hellen Keller Hospital of Sheffield, Alabama. She was 76 years old.

She got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 18. She knew that God had called her to be a Sunday School Teacher. From that moment on, whether she taught youth or young adults, she made sure she lived the life that she taught. Sarah never strayed in her belief nor her faith in God. She stood firm and was was strong in the Word of God. It was that strong foundation of God that her and her husband lived their lives and raised their children, putting God first in everything.

She was preceded in death by her granny, Shelly Hubbard; mother, Mary Joyce Hill; father, Charles Elmer Wallace; sisters, Patty Wallace and Linda Murphey; son-in-law, Phillip Keel, and her grandson, Chase Lakotich Jones.

Sarah is survived by her husband of 55 years, William Jones; her four children, Elizabeth Keel, Leamon Jones (Tammy), Carrie Jones Saylor (Ricky); Micheal Jones (Selena); five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sister, Robin Speegal and sister Eugenia and her two kids, Miranda and Eric Hill whom Sarah has raised as her very own; as well as Tamera Sample; 8 brothers-in-law; 9 sisters-in-law; and blessed with too many nieces, nephews, great niece and great nephews to count.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church in Hartford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Shelby Lett of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. up until service time.

Sarah will be remembered for many things including a Godly wife, a "called" Momma, a Mimi to many, but most importantly a Prophet and Child of God. Faithful to His word until He came and took her home.
