OZARK…. Mrs. Sharon Pharr Rook, a resident of Ozark, died Monday afternoon, August 10, 2020 in Dale Medical Center. She was 80.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 15, 2020 in the Stonebridge Church of God with Reverend Floyd Ingram officiating, Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the church sanctuary.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Stonebridge Church of God, 649 Skipperville Highway, Ozark, Alabama 36360.


            Mrs. Rook, daughter of the late Charles Pharr and Frances Aumeda Anderson Pharr, was a native of Ft. Pierce, Florida. She lived in various locations in the United States and overseas while her husband served in the United States Army. She moved to Ozark in 1984 and was an active member of the Stonebridge Church of God. Mrs. Rook joined her husband in heaven on Monday August 10, 2020.


            Surviving relatives include three daughters, Candace Rook, Navarre, FL; Sherri Bolding, Greer, SC, and Angel Crawley; her son, John D. Rook, Jr. (Sergeant Major, United States Army, Retired) and wife, Roberta Lynne, Lillington, NC; grandchildren, Taylor Brock Balfer, Whitney Lauren Avery, John David Rook, III; great-grandchildren, Sadie Quinn Avery, Holden Matthew Ackerman, and Hailynne Brittany Ackerman; brother, Charles Wade Pharr, Florida.
